The Power of Soap

Our handmade natural soap is undoubtedly luxurious, fragrant, moisturizing, and mild. It's also colorful, pleasing to the eye ... even sensuous at times. But we often forget the true power of soap.

SOAP SAVES LIVES!

Diseases like dysentery kill a child somewhere in the world every 15 seconds and half those deaths could be prevented by regular handwashing with plain old soap and water. It's simple. Just lather up with soap after toileting, after being exposed to someone who's sick, before and after preparing food, and before eating. It doesn't even have to be "antibacterial" soap either. The FDA has determined that ALL soap effectively kills germs. Just think of the lives that could be saved if soap was readily available all over the world!

That's why we donate a portion of our profits to the Clean The World Foundation each year. They've distributed more than 40 million bars of recycled soap to people in need in over 115 countries! And they're not done yet.

Experts agree that handwashing is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your family from getting sick. The CDC says you should lather up for at least 20 seconds, diligently scrubbing all surfaces of your hands with soap. (Sing the Happy Birthday song twice and you're done.) Then rinse well under clean running water and you're good to go. There's no better time than now to start utilizing the incredible power of soap.
