Egg Hair Mask Recipes For Easter & Beyond

by | | 0 comment(s)

With all the eggs being hard boiled, decorated, hunted, deviled, and devoured this weekend, I'm thinking you should use some on your hair too. Pasture raised eggs are rich in vitamins, protein, biotin, and sulfur and that's why they're so good for promoting healthy shiny hair.

Besides, eggs are cheap and they can easily be mixed with other natural ingredients to treat specific hair and scalp conditions. Just mix everything up (by hand or in a blender), work the mask thoroughly into your hair and scalp, cover you head with a shower cap, and leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Rinse with cool water to avoid cooking the eggs and then shampoo as you normally would (but skip the conditioner if your normally use one). We suggest one of our natural shampoo bars, either Yucca Root or Chaparral.

Use one of these DIY egg hair mask recipes once or twice a week for beautiful healthy locks.

NORMAL OR DRY HAIR MASK: 1 whole pasture raised egg + 1 TBS. local raw honey + 1 TBS. organic castor oil or mayonnaise

OILY HAIR MASK: 2 pastured egg whites + 1 TBS. organic lemon juice or apple cider vinegar + 1 TBS. organic jojoba oil

DANDRUFF/ITCHY SCALP MASK: 1 whole pasture raised egg + 1 TBS. organic apple cider vinegar + 1 TBS. organic extra virgin olive or coconut oil

HAIR GROWTH MASK: 1 whole pasture raised egg + 2 TBS. organic castor oil, concentrating mainly on the scalp

DAMAGED HAIR MASK: 1 whole pasture raised egg + 1/2 banana (eat the other half) + 1 TBS. organic extra virgin olive oil + 1 TBS. organic whole milk

Happy Hair Day! Happy Easter! Happy Spring!
